Increasing Urban Density

Completed while working at AJA. The site was purchased with a large 4 bedroom home in the northern suburbs of the city. Demolishing the existing house and rationalising the use of existing land allowed for an increase in the number of dwellings to seven (taking the number of possible occupants on the land from 4 to 18). The two ground floor apartments have large family gardens and the above all have generous sized terraces allowing for active outdoor living near to the city centre. The scheme is working to increase density in our existing cities without having severe adverse affects on our skylines.
